What I Did On My Summer Vacation

Summer vacations are different when you have kids. There's more to plan, more to pack, more to consider; less time to relax, less patience for long car rides, and less space in the backseat.... yet summer vacations still remain an escape from the day-to-day and a way to make fun family memories.

As my family and I traveled home from a recent trip, I spent hours (stuck in traffic) contemplating how different life becomes with children and how different I have become as a person. While crammed into the backseat, simultaneously being an occasional knee pillow for my uncomfortable five year old and sticker book playmate for my toddler, I cycled through a spectrum of emotions (excitement, joy, irritation, and resentment to name a few) and thought about the many forms relief can take (a few more inches of seat space, a pit stop to stretch our legs, laughter, a napping two year old).

Providing all parents with the relief they need and deserve is the heart of my mission. Community, a safe and non-judgmental place to share your authentic feelings, professional support, air conditioning, whatever it may be, we are here for you!

This month, we're kicking off a conversation about what relief means to YOU with our new social media campaign! Please tag #thatsrelieftome #reliefparenting and/or #getthereliefyouneedanddeserve and share your relief with us! Thank you! Let's celebrate the small moments together as parents.

We're savoring all that summer has to offer with some great community events (Newburyport’s Yankee Homecoming Family Day August 3rd, Global Big Latch On August 4th, Hampton School District’s Wellness Fair August 22nd). We're also making plans for exciting new practitioners, classes, and offerings this fall.

We hope to see you and your little ones in between all of your summer vacations and family adventures!

Stay cool!
